Detained like prisoners

Today some of our team members managed to get into Muria. In the last few days, this camp has turned into a prison without allowing them to leave. All the refugees came to us with the same questions: why are they detained? Why can’t they leave the camp and reach their families in Germany, Sweden..?…

Since we landed on the island we have been extremely touched by the solidarity between volunteers from different organisations. They helped us identify the needs in different camps, facilitate entry to the camps and communicate with different refugees. Smile on children’s faces

Yesterday evening, our team arrived at Lesvos port. A boat taking Afghan refugees to Athens was boarding. We prepared backpacks for children aged from 0 to 10. Our backpacks contained sanitary essentials (toothpaste, toothbrush, wipes…), shoes, jackets, toys, colouring pen, teddy bears..
